About CogChamp

Most manufacturers only automate production once a design reaches high volume and steady profits. After a part proves itself, they start simplifying setups and optimizing costs - one project at a time.

CogChamp does the opposite.

CogChamp is built around configurable automation. Every part is treated like it's going into mass production - even if you only need one. The automation isn't an afterthought; it's built into every step, long before you click "order." Our machines are already loaded with a carefully chosen toolset that can cut, turn, gear, and thread without manual intervention or retooling.

Once your part is approved, it's automatically queued and started the moment a machine is available - sometimes instantly, sometimes overnight, sometimes during a holiday. Parts are machined, inspected, and shipped without setup delays or long-lead tooling orders. Just pure, continuous automation.

CogChamp was founded in San Diego in 2025 by a lifelong robotics enthusiast who was tired of hunting for the perfect gear or shaft for custom builds. After countless nights machining prototype parts in a garage on a 4-axis mill, it became clear: the entire process could be automated.

That realization led to the development of a fully automated 5-axis mill-turn system capable of cutting a revolved profile, adding gear teeth, threads, holes, and other features, all in one seamless setup.

Today, CogChamp exists to make custom mechanical parts as easy and accessible as ordering standard ones - powered by automation from start to finish.
